Overview
Founded in 1995, the OIEC Office of International Exchange and Cooperation (Office of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan affairs) drafts policies and plans concerning internationalization to serve and support the overall development of the university.
The OIEC is responsible for coordinating the international affairs (and affairs related to Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) of the university. Its mission is to develop the international exchange and cooperation with a wide range of prestigious institutions, to facilitate international business trips for the faculty and staff, to create and ensure increasing "go international" opportunities for the students and to provide better service for the international employees.
Besides, OIEC serves as the liaison office of the university to its partners, international (and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) visitors, to two Confucius Institutes and to prospective international employees.
To date, Southwestern University of Finance and Economics has established partnerships with over 200 universities and financial institutions from more than 40 countries and regions and has co-founded Confucius Institute with Ss. Cyril and Methodius University.
