On February 14th, SWUFE signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Sichuan Provincial Big Data Center in Chengdu. Gu Hongsong (Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Director of Sichuan Provincial Big Data Center), Zhao Dewu (Party Secretary of SWUFE), and Zhuo Zhi (Deputy Party Secretary of SWUFE) attended the signing ceremony as witnesses. The attendees also include He Yu and Zhao Qibin (members of the Party Leadership Group and deputy directors of Sichuan Provincial Big Data Center), Ma Xiao (Deputy Party Secretary of SWUFE), Li Yongqiang (Deputy Party Secretary and Vice President of SWUFE), Sun Dianming (Deputy Party Secretary and Secretary of the Disciplinary Committee, SWUFE), Yin Qingshuang (Standing Member of the Party Committee and Vice President of SWUFE), Shi Daimin, Zhang Bangfu, and Gui Fuqiang; Officials from both sides were present at the ceremony moderated by Li Zeqing, a member of the Party Leadership Group and Secretary of the Institutional Party Committee, Sichuan Provincial Big Data Center.
Gu Hongsong extended a warm welcome to visitors from Southwestern University of Finance and Economics in his speech, and introduced the vivid practice of promoting the construction of digital Sichuan based on informatization by Sichuan Provincial Big Data Center. He pointed out that strengthening the strategic cooperation with Southwestern University of Finance and Economics is not only an important measure to fully meet the requirements of Sichuan Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government for accelerating the construction of a network-intensive province and digital Sichuan, but also a practical action to push universities to serve the development of digital economy in Sichuan, and will effectively promote the deep integration of government, industries, universities, research institutions and users to jointly create a new model of university-community partnership. He expressed the expectation of accelerating the all-round, in-depth and multi-field cooperation, making more attempts in such terms as the comprehensive market-oriented reform of data factors and the creation of application scenarios, serving the digital economy development in Sichuan with practical measures, contributing wisdom to the creation of a nationally leading super-scale market of data factors, bringing both sides’ strengths into full play, integrating resources, and building platforms to create a favorable environment for the development of university research institutions and the transfer of scientific and technological achievements. In this sense, both sides could jointly promote the construction of digital Sichuan, and efficiently serve the development of digital economy.
Zhao Dewu expressed his heartfelt thanks to Sichuan Provincial Big Data Center for its long-term care and support to SWUFE. He indicated that the signing of the strategic cooperation agreement is a vivid practice of the two sides’ studying in depth and acting on the guiding principles from the 20th National Congress, an important measure to boost the construction of socialist modern Sichuan, and a concerted action to implement the “Twenty Provisions on Data” and accelerate the construction of basic data system with Chinese characteristics. The agreement not only strengthens the friendship between the two sides, but also becomes a new milestone of cooperation. He put forward three proposals. The first is to deepen the cooperation in scientific research, jointly promote the establishment of Sichuan Joint Laboratory of Digital Economy, and carry out collaborative research on digital economy, credit management and other fields. The second is to deepen the cooperation in workforce training, give full play to each other’ s human, intellectual and other resources advantages, and jointly train high-level professionals in the fields of big data, digital economy and credit management. The third is to deepen cooperation in resource sharing, support each other in expanding the scope of data resources, applying for innovation teams and key national projects, etc.
He Yu and Gui Fuqiang signed the agreement, witnessed by all participants from both sides. According to the agreement, the two sides will build a strategic cooperative relationship for giving full play to their respective advantages, jointly promoting the establishment of Sichuan Joint Laboratory of Digital Economy, jointly training high-level practice-oriented talents of big data, and continuously carrying out in-depth research in such fields as big data, block chain application, digital economy and credit management, jointly exploring new technologies, tools and algorithms for big data analysis and application in Sichuan, and making new breakthroughs in the construction of digital Sichuan.
